Prof. Charles O. Aluede (Trombone)

Professor Aluede earned his Ph.D. in Music from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.  He is a Fellow of the Association of Nigerian Musicologists (FANIM) and a member of several professional organizations, including the International Council for the Traditions of Music and Dance (ICTMD). In addition to his academic contributions, Professor Aluede has played a pivotal role in music performance and education. He has conducted and directed music performances at the Ambrose Alli University and has served a music director, adjudicator and guest artist in cultural events across Nigeria. His creative works include collections of African tunes for trombone, piano, and voices, further solidifying his status as a scholar-practitioner. He composes for solo works for voice, trombone and piano and for SATB. He is a fine trombonist, also teaches the tenor trombone and the Music Director in the Hearts of Music Brass Band.
